Of how his father taught of rocket ships and other things. [CFCGC]
He learned all about gravity by falling off a cliff, [FCG]
And if you don't account for V your rocketship will whiff. [CFCGC]

He sung a truly epic tale stock full of lows and highs [CFCG]
About a young con goer who had goals to touch the sky. [CFCGC]
He suffered from a broken heart, a woman who'd turned traitor. [FCG]
His goal was reached, his heart was healed while in an elevator. [CFCGC]

As a child, a calling door led him so far away, [CFCG]
Where monsters stay within the trees awaiting hopeful play. [CFCGC]
As every generation comes, they find this other realm, [FCG]
A place of stories in the dark behind a door of elm. [CFCGC]

He sung about a hero’s wife who wove a burial shroud, [CFCG]
Then tore her work to fend off evil suitors all around. [CFCGC]
Odysseus came to soothe her years of pain and grief. [FCG]
She would remain his faithful wife, his sweet Penelope. [CFCGC]

He sang of western visitors who came by railroad track [CFCG]
A different sort of cowboy that would ride all dressed in black. [CFCGC]
If you caused them trouble they would sneak up in the night [FCG]
The ninjas swift would end you and sneak off by morning light. [CFCGC]

The songs he sings are weaving tools, which thread our distant hearts. [CFCG]
By plucking on his guitar strings he summons healing arts. [CFCGC]
Everyday we suffer in a world that's filled with hate,
But we are given a new hope by the songs that he creates. [CFCGC]
