C F G C The dozers came on in and they tore the buildings down F G C Hauled away the rubble and debris F G C The parking lot they paved is now larger than the town F G C It's hideous but, hey, at least it's free! F C Construction crews came to the site, working day and night F G Laying down foundations, walls, and floors C F G C Six months heavy industry with no clear end in sight F G C Enough was done so they could open up the doors F C It's a big box store filled with everything you'd need G C Buy it by the box or by the case F C It crosses several time zones and it's stocked from wall-to-wall G C And it's big enough to see from up in space C F G C Father took us shopping so we loaded up the car F G C Found a spot then took the shuttle to the door F G C Mother said "let's stick together, don't go very far" F G C Of course you'd know we'd scatter once we hit the floor F C Cousin Albert went for anime and Hello Kitty T-shirts F G Aunt Matilda needed shotgun shells for cooking C F G C Brother Bobby found a doorway leading to a strange dimension F G C Stepping through it when nobody else was looking REFRAIN C F G C Brother David needed soccer balls, basketballs, and weights F G C Uncle Danny wandered off for mustache paste F G C Someone bought a steamship that came in an hundred crates F G C Try the alligator pie, here, have a taste F C I thought to reach the very end upon the mass conveyor F G An hour later still not at the end C F G C Finally reached a broken room manned by a surveyor F G C And he told me they were thinking about putting in a bend REFRAIN C F G C Giving up the fruitless quest of finding termination F G C I found a path and made my way to where we all had entered F G C It took a week of grit and luck and sheer determination F G C I found the food court with the tent where everyone was centered F C Except for Brother Bobby, replaced now by a clone F G Until the real Bob could be found by their survival team C F G C Use the buddy system and don't venture off alone F G C Shopping at the Big Box is like entering a dream REFRAIN
